Should be noted that Rockits all have hood ornaments from early 1950's. Nash Motor Cars designed by George Petty, a famous illustrator for Jantzen Swimsuit, Esquire and Life Magazine. Also, incorporated are early 1950's Oldsmobiles side trim. When they introduced automatic transmissions, it was a bold step into the future of motoring, and it was now the future, and it was automatics... It was FUTURAMIC. Both of these elements are rare, highly collectible and beautiful. The hood ornaments are chromed lady/airplane chimeras, and quite terrific sculptures, all by themselves. I've been fascinated by Petty's Ladies and the concept of FUTURAMIC for decades and they complement the Rockits.
